V2 Retail reported a 5.7% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit attributable to owners to US $1.92 million in Q2FY27, compared with US $1.81 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue from operations increased 27.8% to US $95.6 million from US $74.8 million a year earlier. EBITDA rose 40.8% to US $12.7 million from US $9 million, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 18.2% from 17.2%.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue declined to US $95.6 million from US $105.2 million in Q1FY27. Net profit also fell to US $1.92 million from US $4.42 million. Total expenses stood at US $93.2 million, compared with US $99.9 million in the preceding quarter.
The retailer retained its FY27 revenue growth guidance of more than 50%, despite softer demand during the second quarter.
“The company recorded revenue growth of around 42% in H1FY27, despite the Durga Puja festive period shifting from September to October. It expects same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 5-7% and anticipates greater clarity on its full-year performance after Q3. Management also said it avoided deep discounting during Q2 compared with the year-earlier period, which is expected to support gross margins,” said Akash Agarwal, Whole-time Director and CEO of V2 Retail.
