The Japan-based fast fashion brand Uniqlo comes out its maiden roadside store in the Philippines.
Uniqlo’s efforts to shift away from its traditional shopping mall base has managed to catch the attention of all.
Away from the mall and on the road, surrounded by residential areas, office complexes, schools and restaurants, the new store covers an area of 1,518 square metres.
The store is located at Westgate Alabang, which is 22 km south of Manila.
The store offers a wide range of classy Uniqlo lifewear products for men, women, kids and babies.
Speaking about the new development, Masayoshi Nakamura, COO, Uniqlo Philippines, said “Uniqlo in the Philippines is embracing a new business model by transforming from a mall-only business to newer various types of stores for fast expansion.”
This roadside store in the country intends at closely engaging with the local community by not only enhancing customer convenience but also attracting new and sustainable businesses to the region.
Going forward, Uniqlo plans to open more roadside stores in other countries like Thailand, South Korea and Taiwan.
