TechnoSport has appointed Aditya Gadiyar as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), with immediate effect, as the homegrown activewear brand prepares for its next phase of growth.
In his new role, Gadiyar will lead TechnoSportβs overall marketing, brand positioning and customer growth initiatives. His responsibilities will span digital marketing, social media, CRM, consumer insights, retail marketing and other consumer-facing channels, while working closely with the product, retail, e-commerce and sales teams.
Gadiyar joins TechnoSport with more than 18 years of experience in brand development, marketing and business transformation. Prior to this appointment, he served as Head of Marketing at Wildcraft, where he played a key role in repositioning the company from an outdoor gear-focused brand to a lifestyle brand built around the concept of βreadinessβ. He was also involved in strengthening the companyβs house-of-brands strategy and D2C business.
He began his professional journey with Titan Company, managing the P&L for Titan Eyeplus House Brand Frames and leading the launch of Fastrack Frames. He subsequently worked with Tanishqβs jewellery business, handling marketing initiatives for Mia, Solitaires and consumer offers, including the repositioning of Mia for a younger, contemporary consumer base.
Over the course of his career, Gadiyar has also worked with VIP Industries, Lead School and Myntra. At VIP Industries, he contributed to efforts aimed at reviving the companyβs flagship brand following a prolonged decline. While at Lead School, he worked on brand narrative and PR strategy during the companyβs fundraising journey, and at Myntra, he was involved in expanding the platformβs international brands portfolio.
Commenting on the appointment, Puspen Maity, CEO of TechnoSport, said that the company is entering a period of rapid expansion, making the development of a strong and differentiated consumer brand increasingly important.
The appointment comes as TechnoSport continues to expand its physical retail presence. The company plans to grow its exclusive brand outlet network to around 130 stores and increase its express-format stores to 25 outlets. It is also targeting revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in FY27.
