Newbie, Sweden’s lifestyle brand, has announced the expansion into 10 new countries.
The move is being seen as a part of the brand’s efforts to further its expansion plans across the globe.
Substantiating more on the same, Claes Meldgaard, VP Sales, Kappahl, said “In line with our expansion plan and to meet the high demand for our amazing Newbie brand, we have chosen to launch newbie.com in another ten countries.”
The 10 new markets with online retailing are Austria, Belgium, Czechia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Slovakia.
Previously, the brand was available in Sweden, the UK, Poland, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Delighted over the foray into new markets, Claes said that so far the brand has received great reception in the new markets, in addition to receiving requests to launch in other countries as well.
Besides soft colour palette and hand-drawn prints, each of Newbie collections is made of more sustainable materials, where all the cotton is organic – and for the most part GOTS-certified.
Newbie was founded in 2010, when the designers at the Swedish fashion retail chain Kappahl created a sustainable and affordable babywear collection, with a mission for the garments to be handed down from one generation to the next.
