
Direct-to-consumer fashion brand The Souled Store has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Nupur Sinha Kumar as Senior Vice President – Sourcing and Quality.
In her new role, Kumar will lead the company’s sourcing and quality functions, with a focus on building resilient supply chains, strengthening quality standards and scaling vendor partnerships to support the brand’s growth plans.
Kumar brings close to two decades of experience across global and domestic apparel ecosystems. Most recently, she headed sourcing, technical services and quality at Styli India, where she played a key role in streamlining sourcing operations, improving quality processes and supporting rapid business expansion.
Prior to this, she spent several years at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, where she held multiple senior leadership positions, including Assistant Vice President and Head of Sourcing. During her tenure, she managed sourcing for women’s wear across both ethnic and western categories, led cost optimisation initiatives, strengthened vendor ecosystems and consistently delivered strong on-time and in-full performance.
Earlier in her career, Kumar held senior roles at Triburg, Li & Fung (India), Gap Inc. and Tata International Limited. In these positions, she managed large-scale sourcing programmes for international brands such as GAP, Banana Republic, Mervyn’s and Ann Taylor LOFT.
With extensive expertise in apparel and accessories sourcing, vendor development and supply chain leadership, Kumar’s appointment is expected to further strengthen The Souled Store’s sourcing and quality capabilities as the company scales its operations.
