Sven Voth, the CEO of Germany-based sneaker and streetwear chain, Snipes is stepping down from his role and handing over the reins with immediate effect to Dennis Schröder, who has been general manager of the company since April 2023.
The entire operations of the global retailer will be overseen by Dennis Schröder. As the company’s founder, Sven Voth will stay on board and concentrate on growth, wholesaling, product trends and developments, collaboration, and US business over a two-year transition phase, before moving to an advising role on 1st January 2026. Jim Bojko will continue to manage the US business as president of Snipes USA.
“As founder and long-time CEO, Sven Voth has shaped Snipes for more than 25 years and positioned it uniquely in terms of strategy. He has made Snipes what it is today. In my new role, I look forward to continuing the story of this great company,” said Schröder.
The year 2011 saw Voth sell to the Deichmann Group, the bulk of Snipes SE’s shares. Voth, who established the business in Essen in 1998, eventually acquired the remaining shares and built it into a multibillion-dollar conglomerate with over 750 stores across 12 nations.
“Snipes is my life’s work and will always be a part of me. I feel that the time has come to pass on the baton and Dennis Schröder has already, in a very short space of time, gained the recognition of all his colleagues within the company”, says the former CEO.
