LA-based fashion retailer Revolve announced on Monday the appointment of Marianna Hewitt as the creative director of its in-house label, L’Academie.
In this role, Hewitt, the co-founder of Summer Fridays, a top-selling beauty brand on Revolve, will bring her unique perspective and personal style to L’Academie, with the aim to reimagine the brand’s aesthetic.
From conceptualisation to curation, Hewitt will spearhead the overall direction of L’Academie, offering her creative insights into fabric choices, colour palettes, and design elements. Her involvement will extend across every phase, from fittings and design meetings to editorial campaigns and site merchandising.
The collaboration will unveil the new L’Academie, a Parisian-inspired collection, which boasts timeless pieces that seamlessly transition from day to night, embodying versatility and sophistication. Hewitt’s dedication to creating a wardrobe suitable for both professional settings and leisure is expected to align seamlessly with L’Academie’s ethos.
“It is an honour for me to be a part of Revolve in a bigger way as creative director of L’Academie, a brand that has been part of my wardrobe since 2015. Together with this talented team, we’ve stayed true to the brand’s core essence and reimagined it to have pieces I would want in my dream wardrobe,” said Hewitt.
The move follows the success of the Marianna x Revolve curated collection launched in December 2022.
