N Brown Group has appointed Clare Empson as its new Director of Supply Chain, replacing Phil Barnes, who announced his intention to retire last year.
Empson comes to the company from Ted Baker, where she worked in transformation and retail in a variety of senior roles. She was most recently Director of Operations from 2020 to 2023.
Empson’s appointment will help N Brown’s transformation goals to create a customer-first experience with technology at its centre. Empson has over 25 years of expertise across the retail sector.
She will further bolster the leadership staff of the organisation, keeping a close eye on the customer journey, and assume a “fundamental role in ensuring N Brown delivers an outstanding end-to-end experience for customers across all of its brands”.
She will begin her new role from 15th January 2024, and will answer directly to Steve Johnson, the CEO of N Brown Group.
Johnson said, “I’m delighted to be strengthening out senior team with Clare’s appointment. Clare joins at an exciting time in our transformation and her expertise will help us further deliver a first-class customer service preposition.”
Empson added, “I’m excited to be joining such an inclusive business with a portfolio of well-loved brands.”
