Fashion e-commerce platform Myntra, has expanded its partnership with Desigual, a Barcelona-based fashion brand by launching the brand’s apparel collection on its platform, marking the next phase of Desigual’s expansion in the Indian market.
The newly launched collection comprises 90 style categories, including dresses, denim and jackets. The collection features Desigual’s signature design aesthetic, including colourful silhouettes, statement denim, graphic knitwear and expressive outerwear.
The launch follows the introduction of Desigual’s accessories, handbags and backpacks on Myntra last year. With the addition of apparel, the brand aims to strengthen its presence in India and expand its reach among digitally engaged consumers.
The company also plans to introduce seasonal collections throughout the year to further broaden its product portfolio in India.
The expansion comes amid rising demand for international brands on Myntra. According to the platform, Tier II cities account for 45% of demand for international brands.
Myntra currently offers a portfolio of more than 500 international brands across fashion, beauty and lifestyle categories.
Founded in Barcelona in 1984, Desigual is an accessible luxury fashion brand focused on millennials and Gen Z consumers. Through Myntra’s customer base of more than 75 million monthly active users, the brand expects to connect with shoppers seeking international fashion labels.
