Utkrishta Kumar, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of business, Meesho, a leading e-commerce startup backed by The SoftBank, has resigned from the company after 5 years.
He was reporting to Meesho’s co-founder Vidit Aatrey and has been instrumental in the company’s growth in revenue and category expansion.
Utkrishta had joined the online commerce startup in 2018 as the VP-business. Now he is supposed to start his own venture.
This isn’t Utkrishta Kumar’s first effort for his own venture. In 2011, he founded Mojocircles, an e-commerce startup focusing on handicrafts and connecting artisans across India.
Meesho has appointed Megha Agarwal, currently CXO, growth, at the company to take over Kumar’s role. Further, Nilesh Gupta, who is the senior director, growth, at Meesho has been promoted to the role of GM – user growth.
It can be mentioned that after a heavy loss, the e-commerce giant this year turned profitable for the first time in July.
