Extending their efforts to minimise environmental impact, the fast fashion retailer Mango has released their sustainable capsule collection called ‘Second Chances’.
The denim collection is in collaboration with KOOPERA (a cooperative promoted by Caritas), where several collection bins were placed at various stores across Europe including United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany and Italy among others.
According to the retailer, the motive behind collecting these garments is to give them a second chance of usage either by salvaging yarns from the garment to convert them into various functional necessities like a denim jacket or even stuffing for a sofa.
KOOPERA is a Spanish cooperative that focuses on sustainable product use by reusing waste products by turning them into useful items.
The collection features a pair of jeans as well as a denim jacket that are priced at £49.99 and £59.99, respectively.
