Ahead of larger development plans for the concept, Spanish apparel company Mango has opened its first teenage-focused international store in the UK.
The first of the chain’s teen-focused concepts to venture outside of Spain, Mango Teen opened its doors on London’s Foubert’s Place while adhering to its distinctive Mediterranean-inspired look.
There is a variety of apparel, accessories, and footwear in the 230 square metre area, with categories ranging from casual wear to occasionwear.
The launch of the Mango Teen store internationally “marks a turning point,” according to a statement from Berta Moral, director of Mango Kids & Teen, who also said it will enable the brand to “continue to inspire and bring our passion for fashion to young audiences.”
Moral added, “The UK is one of the most important markets in the world of global fashion and therefore a key market for Mango and the development of all its lines to consolidate a global offer that responds to all segments, from women to men, children and teenagers.”
Mango Teen’s expansion plans will continue beyond its opening as part of the company’s larger 4E Strategic Plan 2024–2026. This year, the firm plans to open 15 more Teen sites around Spain, expanding its total footprint to 25 – nearly tripling its presence from 2023 numbers.
The idea was first introduced in 2021 to address a “existing gap in the market,” and it was first promoted through pop-up shops in Spain and 50 other regions.
