Tootsa MacGinty, the UK-based clothing brand that makes unisex clothes for kids, has been acquired by Inc Retail Group.
Inc Retail Group, which is a part of Manchester-based digital brand group Inc & Co, told media that acquisition of the kidswear brand will further enhance its core offering.
Besides, it will help redefine retail by nurturing brands and providing them platform to grow.
Elated over the acquisition, Dan Shaw, MD, Inc Retail Group, said that Tootsa MacGinty’s strong commitment to sustainability blends perfectly with its dynamic and purpose-led acquisition strategy.
Dan added “Complementing and expanding our growing apparel and accessories portfolio, this acquisition offers us the potential to fully pursue our vision, and opens the doors to creating a group e-commerce dedicated team.”
Founded in 2011, Tootsa MacGinty was one of the first to bring unisex kidswear to the UK market. In 2013, it also ventured into adult category.
Inc Retail Group, on the other hand, was founded in 2020 and owns accessories’ brand Knomo London, besides owning Laundrapp – a well-known dry cleaning and laundry app.
