Ermenegildo Zegna, the well-known menswear brand from Italy, has upped its guidance for the full year after reporting an impressive half-yearly revenue growth of 21 per cent.
The brand now expects the revenue to grow in the mid-teens, while it was low-teens growth as per the previous guidance.
Zegna has also forecast a ‘solid improvement’ guidance in adjusted EBIT, while previously it mentioned only ‘improvement’.
Stating about the performance, Chairman and CEO Ermenegildo Zegna, said that though the company’s performance is strong – including in Greater China – the global geopolitical and economic outlook is still uncertain.
The Chairman, however, expressed confidence that the brand will remain on track even as it is committed to executing the strategy to attain its new 2022 guidance.
The first 6 months saw the brand post a revenue growth of 21 per cent to clock US $ 729 million, while the adjusted EBIT rose by 24 per cent during the same period.
Zegna was founded in 1910 and it generated € 1.292 billion in 2021.
