The Sweden-based fast-fashion retailer, H&M has recently launched its 36th store in India, marking the first in a metro station at Huda City Centre in Gurgaon. The store is spread across 12,000 sq.ft. right across Decathlon as its neighbour in the area.
Notably, the Swedish brand forayed into India back in 2015 and at present operates 35 stores across the nation in top shopping malls along with retailing its merchandises through country’s leading e-commerce firms such as Amazon and Flipkart.
Janne Einola, Country Manager, H&M India emphasised on the development and said that the company is thrilled to offer its first store at a metro station which is usually the most crowded one in NCR. “We see significant potential here to invite a large and relevant set of customers to the store,” Janne said.
Reportedly, in the near future the fashion retailer has set ambitious goals to take the total tally of its outlets to over 40 by the end of this year. It has plans to launch stores in Amritsar, Bangalore, and National Capital Region.
Furthermore, as per a Preferred Fibre Materials Market Report by Textile Exchange, Hennes & Mauritz bagged the number one rank in using sustainable cotton in its production. The brand was also in the list of Forbes that marked out companies which provide the best workplace for women along with Ikea and Michael Kors.
