Fashion platform Confluxe, plans to introduce 10–12 international fashion and lifestyle brands in India over the next three years after raising US $1.6 million in pre-seed funding from Wavemaker Partners and Kriscore Capital.
The company acquires exclusive distribution and licensing rights for global brands and follows an online-first strategy to gather first-party consumer data before expanding into offline channels such as shop-in-shops and exclusive brand outlets.
It is targeting the premium fashion segment, with products priced above Rs 3,500, focusing on menswear, womenswear, denim and outdoor lifestyle.
Louis Coucke, Co-founder, Confluxe said that we plan to get 10–12 brands to India in the next three years. The idea is to bring three to five brands every year and build them for the long term.
Confluxe has already signed two brands, including Brazilian smartwear label Urban Performance and an American premium denim brand, which will launch later this year with India-specific sizing and local manufacturing.
“We always launch online first to build first-party data. After six to twelve months, once we understand the right product, pricing and customer behaviour, we expand into shop-in-shops or exclusive brand outlets,” Coucke said.
The startup expects each brand in its portfolio to generate Rs 100 crore in revenue within three to five years, with a target EBITDA margin of around 10%. It also plans to raise a seed funding round within the next 6–12 months to strengthen technology, working capital, marketing and team expansion.
Confluxe is a tech-enabled omnichannel platform launched by former Myntra/AJIO executive Rajesh Narkar and H&M India veteran Louis Coucke. Headquartered in Bengaluru, it helps global fashion and lifestyle brands enter and scale in India by managing digital commerce, data merchandising, and localized “Make in India” supply chains.
