Continuing its expansion spree, Champion Athleticwear has launched its third US flagship store and its first in Chicago. Spread across 1,900 sq. ft., the new outlet is situated at the city’s Wicker Park neighbourhood.
The new store will offer innovative opportunities for customers to shop and interact with the product and the label. The activewear retailer’s storied tradition is portrayed across the outlet, as some of the company’s most unmatched and precious merchandises are on display within fixtures developed from recycled wood made from reclaimed basketball courts.
It is important to add here that the latest footwear range launched by the fashion label will also be offered to the customers at the new store.
Notably, just like the brand’s recently launched store in New York, the Chicago store also offers the customers on-site customisation and a line of products exclusive to the Chicago store that includes a one-off capsule collection and special edition designs made in partnership with Chicago street artist Joseph “Sentrock” Perez.
In a media release issued, David Robertson, Director, Champion’s brand marketing department cited that after the successful store openings earlier this year in Los Angeles and New York, the company is thrilled to announce Chicago as its latest retail home. “Champion and Chicago are a perfect match, as we both share a long history of diversity, innovation, individuality and a strong connection with sports. We look forward to becoming part of the city’s retail and cultural fabric,” David said.
Additionally, the brand offers products in many overseas countries through its own e-commerce platform but its brick-and-mortar presence is limited to just America at present.
