Japan-based knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki along with its Hong Kong subsidiary of the same name, will showcase their latest technology at the upcoming China International Knitting Fair’s autumn edition to be held in Shanghai later this month.
The three-day-long event will be held at the National and Exhibition Centre from 27 to 29 September and visitors can locate Shima Seiki at booth #V265, Hall 3.
This will be the first instance when the leading computerized knitting machine maker will be participating in PH Value event. It not only makes for a trade promotion and business-to-business platform for the country’s knitting sector but also provides a chance for Shima Seiki to expand its reach to apparel manufacturers, retailers, merchandisers along with e-commerce players in the nation’s fashion value chain.
The Japanese manufacturer said in a press release that because of rising wages and shortage in labour, as well as tremendous growth from e-commerce, textiles supply chain demands in China have significantly transformed in last few years. “With growing interest in short turnaround, labour savings and mass customisation, Shima Seiki’s advanced flat knitting technology is considered more than ever to be the ideal solution to current and future Chinese market needs.” the company added.
Shima Seiki’s latest APEX3 design system will also be on display at PH Value, which supports across the production supply chain, integrating production into one smooth and efficient work-flow from yarn development, product planning, design to manufacturing and even goes up to sales promotions.
