Boohoo, the British online fashion brand, is in talks to acquire part of Arcadia Group’s brands.
As per report in Sky News, Boohoo has confirmed that negotiations are underway to purchase Burton, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis brands.
Reportedly, the e-tailer is eyeing only the brands and not the stores. And if that’s the case, then potentially many jobs could be hit again.
In a statement released to media, the e-tailer said that talks were going on and the deal may or may not happen.
Here it is important to state that Boohoo is not alone in the race. Its close competitor Asos Plc too is in talks with Arcadia Group to acquire Topshop, Topman and other brands of the Group.
