UK-based luxury brand Burberry has re-appointed its former chief merchandising officer Paul Price in a new extended role of chief product merchandising and planning officer.
Price has previously served the brand for 10 years as the chief merchandising officer from 2007 to 2017 and will be joining the Burberry team again effectively from 9th December. He will be directly reporting to the brand’s CEO Joshua Schulman, who also joined the fashion brand earlier this year.
After leaving Burberry in 2017, Price joined Topshop and Topman as its CEO. He later switched to James Perse in Los Angeles and was operating his own consulting firm as well.
Burberry CEO Joshua Schulman said that Paul is an “exceptional merchant and retail leader” who has yielded remarkable reports across the different channels and geographies he has worked with.
“As a key member of the Burberry leadership team during the company’s peak era of value creation, Paul was responsible for product strategies that led to consistent double-digit growth,” the Burberry CEO added.
As per media reports, Price will be relocating to London during the start of 2025 and will be joining the executive committee of Burberry.
Price also expressed he is thrilled to be back with Burberry and added that it is an “iconic brand with an incredible legacy in British fashion and luxury.” He further added that the brand has an incredibly rich history and a distinctive cultural resonance that sets the brand apart.
