Bangladesh is working towards setting up e-commerce booths across all post offices in the country, which will be used as delivery points for products of digital marketplaces.
According to media reports, this was underlined by the country’s Commerce Minister, who felt post offices should be utilised as e-commerce delivery points so that the e-commerce entrepreneurs can have a rapid boom and post offices across the country can also revive.
“The Postal Department has 40,000 staffers and they will be utilised properly,” meanwhile reportedly, added Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar.
e-CAB or the E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh in association with the Commerce Ministry are jointly implementing the project, as per reports.
