Athleta is expanding its retail footprint while also entering a new sales channel!
The San Francisco-based company plans to open its first two outlet stores this summer and fall, as part of a goal to open 30 to 40 more stores by the end of the fiscal year 2022.
The Gap Inc.-owned company announced the opening of new outlet stores in Chicago, Illinois and Leesburg, Virginia in the coming months. In the last six months, it has opened 12 stores in North America.
Athleta’s expansion plans also include Canada, where it plans to add four additional locations by the end of this year. The Canadian market remains a strategic growth priority for Athleta and the Gap Inc. portfolio of brands, which operates more than 250 stores in Canada.
