The US-based department store chain, Ross Stores has fulfilled its goal of opening 100 new outlets by the end of this year. The retailer has launched 30 namesake outlets and 10 dd’s Discounts stores across 19 states in September and October.
Notably, with these openings the American retail brand now runs 1,438 Ross and 237 dd’s outlets in the country.
Jim Fassio, President & Chief Development Officer, Ross Stores said that this fall, the company carried on expanding its retail footprints for both of its brands across its existing markets along with expansion in its newer market; the Midwest.
“Looking ahead, we continue to believe there is plenty of opportunity to further expand our store base for both chains given shoppers’ ongoing focus on value. As such, we recently updated our longer-term growth store potential to reflect our confidence that Ross can grow to 2,400 locations and dd’s can become a chain of 600 stores,” Jim added.
The American fashion retailer, markets menswear, kidswear, womenswear and footwear along with home decor products.
The company recorded a revenue of around US $ 14.1 billion and is eyeing to better that with the opening of new stores, which will eventually enable it access to a wide customer base to target.
