The American department store chain, Ross Stores recently opened 22 Ross Dress for Less and eight dd’s Discounts stores across 12 states and Washington D.C, since last month.
The new locations are part of the US-based retailer’s plans to launch about 100 stores this year; 75 Ross and 25 dd’s locations.
It is important to mention here, that Ross Dress For Less provides designer apparel, accessories, footwear and home goods at 20 to 60 per cent off as compared to the department and speciality store prices. Whereas, dd’s feature more reasonable-priced department store selections at discounts worth 20 to 70 per cent.
Jim Fassio, President & Chief Development Officer, Ross Stores said, “With this opening group, the retailer focuses to boost Ross and dd’s in both upcoming and current markets. Ross grew in its latest market; the Midwest along with its existing markets, that includes California, Texas, and Florida. Last month, dd’s also ventured into its newest state of Delaware.
“Looking forward, we are positive towards our expansion plans and we are predicting plenty of possibilities to excel across all of our markets,” he added.
At present, Ross runs a total of 1,680 off-price clothing and home fashion outlets spread across 38 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam.
The US-based fashion retailer retails menswear, womenswear, kidswear, footwear and home decor products. Last year, it fetched a revenue of US $ 14.1 billion.
