
US-based fashion retailer, American Apparel is going to close all the stores across Australia in the coming weeks to stop supporting the businesses outside of the US. Once the stock is cleared, around 100 employees are going to lose their jobs.
Lately, the company has also liquidated businesses across UK and Ireland. The closure comes after recent reports of the company’s moving towards bankruptcy within just a year after recovering from the same.

American Apparel is an American clothing manufacturer, designer, distributor, marketer and retailer based in Los Angeles, California. Founded by Dov Charney in 1989, it is a vertically integrated company which is one of the largest apparel manufacturers in North America.
