Amazon has announced a strategic partnership with India Post to expand and enhance its delivery network across the country, covering every pin code, including remote regions. By leveraging India Post’s extensive last-mile delivery infrastructure, Amazon aims to increase the speed and efficiency of its deliveries.
The collaboration will focus on optimising resource utilisation, improving operational efficiency, and exploring opportunities for capacity sharing across both logistics networks. This partnership marks a significant step in Amazon’s efforts to streamline its services and cater to its growing customer base.
Abhinav Singh, Vice President of Operations at Amazon India, emphasised the importance of the partnership, stating, “Our relationship with India Post has been crucial to Amazon’s growth in India. Together, we have set new standards in logistics and customer service.” Over the past two to three years, the number of India Post pickup points in Amazon’s network has doubled, leading to a threefold increase in parcel deliveries.
