The rapidly-growing British plus-size apparel retailer, Yours Clothing is all set to open its first standalone store in Germany on September 1, at the Thier-Galerie shopping mall, in the heart of the city centre of Dortmund.
Notably, after the brand’s e-commerce platform got successful since it was introduced in May last year, this will be the company’s first store in Europe. The upcoming store is spread across 1,500 sq. ft. and will also offer eight fresh jobs in the region.
The UK-based apparel retailer is working on its international expansion plans. With the addition of the Dortmund store, it now runs over 145 outlets in the UK and globally.
The latest opening follows “the growing appetite for the brand in Germany and positive response from customers online,” Karen Luton, Retail Director, Yours Clothing was quoted as saying by the media.
The new store will house a wide range of womenswear apparel in sizes 16-36 (EU 44-64) that include lingerie, footwear and other accessories.
This expansion spree has helped the retailer fetch good revenue, a rise of 22 per cent to £ 88.3 million from £ 72.1 million which was recorded by the brand in its latest financial year. In these figures what propelled the British retailer to expand internationally was the increase in sales of 48 per cent.
Furthermore, to mark the brand’s debut in Germany, the company has drafted in plus-size influencers to host the launch event and share style inspiration and techniques with shoppers and possible future customers.
