Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited (ABLBL) has announced the appointment of Preeti Gupta as Chief Business Officer for its Van Heusen Innerwear division.
An alumna of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gupta brings over 25 years of leadership experience across the intimatewear, fashion and digital-first retail sectors. In her new role, she will oversee brand strategy and consumer positioning, product and category expansion, retail and distribution growth across channels and drive long-term profitability and value creation for the Van Heusen Innerwear business.
Gupta began her career with Madura Garments (ABFRL), where she managed the Allen Solly Womenswear portfolio and led it to EBITDA-positive performance within two years, expanding the category across national retail networks. During her tenure, she also contributed to the Esprit buying and merchandising function during the brand’s early operations in India.
At Reliance Retail, Gupta was part of the founding leadership team of Reliance Trends, where she developed the women’s westernwear and non-apparel businesses, launched private labels and exclusive sub-brands and established large-scale category planning and sourcing systems for mass fashion retail. She later led the Licensing Business for Tommy Hilfiger India, overseeing category expansion, product portfolio alignment and channel development.
Gupta spent over six years as Chief Operating Officer at Enamor (Modenik Lifestyle), where she spearheaded a major brand transformation in the intimatewear segment. Most recently, before joining ABLBL, she served as Chief Business Officer – Owned Brands at Nykaa Fashion, where she strengthened brand-led growth in the digital fashion space.
Her appointment marks a key step in ABLBL’s efforts to reinforce Van Heusen Innerwear’s leadership in India’s rapidly expanding premium innerwear and athleisure market.
