The YKK Corporation has decided to move the YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. plant in Nhon Trach, Vietnam, which has developed into a major centre for the global textile industry for products including sportswear, outdoor clothing, and casual wear, to Phase 3.
YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. will build new, cutting-edge facilities that integrate YKK technology in the area next to its Phase 1 and Phase 2 factories. The Nhon Trach Factory Phase 3 extension will boost the factories’ output volume and improve their product development capabilities after the Ha Nam Factory Phase 2 in 2024, solidifying their position as a key technology hub in the ASEAN area.
Through the expansion, YKK will be able to improve its capability for product development and increase production capacity, create a sustainable, fully automated production system and bolster YKK’s position as the ASEAN region’s core technical base.
The construction of a 99,900m² complex on a 176,701m² site will be financed by an expenditure of US $ 83.6 million, with completion planned for June 2027.
