
Believing in India’s long term growth story, United Exim, known for its quality suits, blazers and trousers, is investing Rs. 300 crore for expansion and coming up with a state of the art unit.
This unit spread in 10 acres will have 1 million sq.ft. constructed area and the project is expected to complete in the next one and a half year.
The Noida-based company, founded in 1995, is currently working with all the top Indian brands, Raymond, Aditya Birla Group, Arvind, Blackberrys and more, and is targeting the overseas market with the expanded capacity.
Currently it has a manufacturing capacity of 800 waist coats, 3000 blazers and 5,000 trousers per day.
The new unit will have a capacity of 10,000 blazers, 15000 trousers and 2,000 waistcoats per day respectively.
Having an annual turnover of Rs. 250 crore, the company is expecting multi-fold growth after the expansion.
Gurveer Singh, Director of the company told Apparel Resources, “With developments like FTA agreement signed with Australia and the UAE), the proposed FTAs with the UK and the EU, we are planning for long term and as India is lacking on capacities, we want to have good capacity. We have strong know how and with the support of capacity we will be able to compete with the countries having strong hold on overseas buyer.”
