A supply order totalling US $ 4.22 million (Rs 36.19 crore) has been given to Shiva Texyarn, one of the leading textile manufacturers in India, by the Indian Air Force, Ministry of Defence, Department of Military Affairs and Government of India.
Delivery of 16,000 pairs of SUIT PERMEABLE MK V is planned for the period between 3rd January 2025, and 31st August 2025.
Shiva Texyarn produces technical textiles such as home textiles, coated and laminated fabrics, and other value-added goods in addition to cotton yarn. The company also has various certifications including Five S (Workspace Management System), Oeko – Tex 100 Certification, WRAP Certification and Affiliation Certification (Textile Sector Skill Council).
The company’s divisions include a spinning mill, a lamination division and a garments division located in Tirupur, a processing division located in Erode and a coating division in Coimbatore.
In Q2 FY ’25, the company reported a consolidated net profit of US $ 322,000 (Rs 2.77 crore), compared to a net loss of US $ 301,000 (Rs. 2.59 crore) in Q2 FY ’24. For the second quarter of FY ’25, net sales fell 3.6 per cent year over year to US $ 11.09 million (Rs. 95.19 crore).
