
Chinese investor October 4128 (BD) Ltd. is set to allocate US $ 19.72 million to set up a high-end garment manufacturing facility at the BEPZA Economic Zone in Mirsharai, Chattogram.
On behalf of their respective organisations, at the BEPZA Complex, Dhaka, Md Ashraful Kabir, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mohammed Taufikul Ahsan, Managing Director of October4128 (BD) Ltd, signed the agreement. Also present at the occasion was Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain.
This project is expected to provide employment to 2788 Bangladeshi nationals. Three million pieces of ski, snow sports, hunting and motor rider’s gear, insulated winter coats, down jackets and pants, raingear, workwear, runningwear, yogawear and water sportswear will be produced by the company.
BEPZA Executive Chairman, speaking at the signing ceremony, thanked the company for choosing BEPZA Economic Zone as its preferred investment destination and assured full cooperation to ensure smooth business operations.
Till now, including October 4128 (BD) Ltd., 49 companies have signed agreements for investment in BEPZA Economic Zone with a total proposed investment of around US $ 1.08 billion. For both local and foreign investors, BEPZA Economic Zone has emerged as one of the most attractive investment destinations.
