Textile manufacturer Alok Industries Ltd, has appointed Ashok Kumar Joshi as Head – Textile Manufacturing as the company seeks to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and support its ongoing growth and transformation strategy.
Joshi brings more than four decades of experience in the textile and apparel industry, with expertise spanning manufacturing excellence, operational transformation, productivity enhancement, quality management systems and the leadership of large-scale integrated textile operations.
In his new role, Joshi will oversee the company’s textile manufacturing operations and contribute to the execution of its strategic objectives. His responsibilities are expected to include driving operational efficiencies, implementing best manufacturing practices and fostering innovation across the production ecosystem.
Before joining Alok Industries, Joshi held senior manufacturing leadership positions at Welspun Group and Welspun Living Ltd, where he led large-scale manufacturing operations, productivity improvement initiatives, sustainability programmes and business transformation projects.
His career also includes leadership roles at Donear Industries Ltd, Oswal F.M. Hammerle Textiles Ltd and Arvind Ltd, where he was involved in initiatives aimed at improving operational performance and supporting organisational growth.
