Flipkart has appointed Gunjan Bhartia as Senior Vice President – Business Finance, with responsibility for leading business finance for its logistics arm, eKart, across all verticals.
In his new role, Bhartia will focus on strengthening financial planning and performance management, while supporting strategic initiatives as Flipkart continues to scale its supply chain operations, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Bhartia brings more than 28 years of global finance experience across Asia and the Middle East. He has previously held senior leadership positions at GE and South Korea-based e-commerce company Coupang, where he was involved in large-scale business transformations, multi-billion-dollar programmes and governance within listed-company environments.
He will report to Flipkart’s finance leadership and work closely with the eKart management team to support long-term value creation and improve operational efficiency.
