In honour of World Environment Day, Reliance Industries’ sustainable brand R|Elan® has unveiled the seventh iteration of its Earth Tee, designed by renowned fashion designer Namrata Joshipura.
The R|Elan® GreenGoldTM fabric used to make this year’s Earth Tee was made entirely from recycled PET bottles that were gathered during Lakmé Fashion Week 2025, which took place at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre.
In response to the increasing demand from people who care about the environment, the Earth Tee will be made available for public purchase for the first time. Only the SankalpTaru Foundation, a well-known environmental NGO, sells the Earth Tee. SankalpTaru will plant three trees for each Earth Tee purchased. The SankalpTaru Foundation will use all of the Earth Tee’s revenues to fund tree planting projects.
The tags and wrappers of Earth Tee 7.0 are embedded with seeds that may be sown straight into soil, and the packaging is made to be reused as a plant container.
