Markmi, a fashion tech business located in Belgium that offers an AI-powered markdown assistant service, acquired US $ 1.19 million in seed money.
The Torfs family, Wolf (Luc Van Mol, ex-ZEB), Lorenz Bogaert, Matthias Geeroms, Jan Teerlinck, Roeland Delrue, Jonas Deprez, and PMV were among the backers.
Later this year, the company plans to utilise the money to speed up the distribution of its service throughout the US, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the Nordic region.
Laurent Mainil founded Markmi, an AI-powered markdown assistant that helps fashion retail teams make better markdown choices. In the future, the business intends to develop into a comprehensive AI-powered fashion retail pricing platform, branching out into domains such as promo management and full-price optimisation.
