The Textile Engineers Association (TEA) recently organised a highly successful seminar titled Navigating Career Growth in Spinning and Textile Printing, held at the auditorium of Barishal Textile Engineering College. The event was fully funded by TEA and aimed to equip textile engineering students with vital industry knowledge, career guidance, and practical skills necessary to thrive in the textile sector.
The seminar attracted a distinguished lineup of guests and industry experts, including Chief Guest M S Zaman, Director of the Marketing Department at Mithila Textile Green Industry, and Special Guest Abdul Hakim, Chief Marketing Officer of Hurain Hi-Tech Fabric Limited. Trainers for the day included spinning expert Md Tarikul Islam and printing expert Md Shawkat Hossain Sohel. Engr. Selim Reza, of Barishal Textile Engineering College, served as the Chairperson, while Sagar Bepary, the founder of TEA, was the Convener.
Key topics covered during the seminar included current trends and future prospects in the spinning and textile printing industries, skill development strategies, job opportunities and challenges in the textile sector, and the impact of innovation and technology on modern textile manufacturing.
In response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback, TEA plans to continue its commitment to enhancing students’ skills through various industry-focused initiatives. Future endeavors will include additional seminars, workshops, internship opportunities, and training programs in digital textile innovation and smart textile development.
