After 14 years, the Paris-based fashion brand Y/Product is closing after the departure of creative director Glenn Martens and CEO Pascal Conte-Jodra last year.
“Y/Project has made the difficult decision to cease operations after 14 successful years,” the company stated. “Y/Project and the team would like to express their gratitude to all of the partners and Y/P supporters for their consistent commitment to the brand over the years,” it further added.
Gilles Elalouf, a co-founder of the firm, passed away in July 2024. Shortly after, CEO Pascal Conte-Jodra departed, and Glenn Martens, the creative director, quit in September. After being placed into receivership in September, WWD announced in October that Y/Project was for sale.
The decision was made during a difficult time for the luxury fashion industry, which has caused earnings at LVMH, Kering, Richemont, and other companies to drop. High-end labels like The Vampire’s Wife and Mara Hoffman also closed last year.
