Asos and Hirestreet are expanding their connection by partnering on a new project that will include launching a subscription rental service. The two had previously collaborated on a rental offer; in early 2023, Hirestreet included 180 womenswear Asos items in its rental offering.
However, a new sort of relationship is about to emerge. This will allow Hirestreet members to rent five things every month for seventy-five pounds, with more than 20,000 Asos items available for selection.
With categories including skiwear, workwear, and SS25 collections to follow, the October drop will first prioritise party and weekend attire for the holiday season.
In response to Hirestreet’s “significant rise in demand for casual items” in the first quarter of 2024, the two companies have termed the offer “the biggest retailer-rental collaboration the UK market has seen to date.”
According to the rental platform, 40 per cent of the things rented at that time were from the casual category, and the overall number of items shipped to clients increased 200 percent year over year.
