The flagship brand of Kering has announced the resignation of Benjamin Cercio, its director of communications. Stefano Cantino, formerly of Louis Vuitton, may be joining the Italian fashion house.
He worked for Louis Vuitton for fifteen years, where he progressively assumed responsibility in the media and celebrity domains. In 2022, he became the Global Director of Communications at Gucci. His position was elevated to Senior Vice President, Global Communications last year.
Claudio Monteverde, the Global Director of Corporate and Internal Communications, also departed the organisation at the end of September. He started working at Moncler, where he is currently the Manager of Corporate Communications. Alessio Vanetti, who served as Gucci’s Global Director of Communications from 2015 to 2019, returned to the house in the same month as Executive Vice President and Brand Director.
Stefano Cantino, who has been Louis Vuitton’s Senior Vice President of Communication and Events since 2018, is rumoured to be joining Gucci shortly, according to the Italian press. He previously worked for Prada for more than 20 years, where he spent the most of his career. From 2014 to 2018, he served as the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Development for the final four years.
Jean-François Palus has been in charge of Gucci since last autumn, while Sabato De Sarno, who took over for the late Alessandro Michele at the start of 2023, is in charge of creative direction.
