The fashion and lifestyle label, Arket, under the H&M Group umbrella, has initiated its first concession store within Selfridges London, marking a significant milestone for the brand. This new addition, a shop-in-shop concept, complements the existing network of four standalone Arket stores in key London locations—Oxford Street, Regent Street, Westfield Stratford City, and Covent Garden—exclusively spotlighting its collection of women’s apparel.
Nestled on the third floor of Selfridges department store along Oxford Street, Arket Selfridges sprawls across 833 square feet. Notably, the space incorporates a lounge area featuring restored pieces in collaboration with Artek 2nd cycle. This partnership highlights pre-loved Arket lighting, furniture, and various everyday items.
Pernilla Wohlfahrt, Arket’s managing director, expressed profound sentiments about London, acknowledging its pivotal role since Arket’s establishment in 2017. Specifically, she emphasised the city’s significance with the initial stores on Regent Street and in Covent Garden, underscoring the connection Arket holds with London. Wohlfahrt further conveyed pride in the strategic partnership with Selfridges, recognizing its capacity to captivate and engage the local audience, cementing Arket’s commitment to the city’s fashion enthusiasts.
In addition to this, the Nordic lifestyle brand also launched its new resale destination for pre-loved Arket designs in Sweden and UK on 23rd November. This serves as a platform that allows customers to list their second-hand ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and childrenswear from Arket and earn cash or a voucher for their next Arket online purchase.
