On 1st September, Guillaume Darrousez, the CEO of Petit Bateau, will take the helm at the beauty brand Yves Rocher. Alexandre Rubin, currently with Yves Rocher, will succeed him as the head of the French clothing brand. These appointments are part of the Rocher group’s change in leadership announced in June.
After serving as its international CEO from 2018 to 2020 before taking over at Petit Bateau, Darrousez, who joined the Rocher Group in 2015, is well-versed in the cosmetics industry. He accelerated the second-hand market and entered the rental business over a three-year period to support the fashion brand’s CSR initiatives.
Alexandre Rubin will follow Darrousez as CEO of Petit Bateau. Yves Rocher’s international retail director Rubin joined the Rocher Group in 2015. He has been the cosmetic company’s CEO for France and Benelux since February 2018.
From 2002 to 2004, Rubin, who started his career at Marks and Spencer, was the brand’s regional director. After that, he worked for Starbucks Coffee in France for two years as director of operations. He became the director of retail France for the Sephora cosmetics brand in 2008. He took over as CEO of the women’s ready-to-wear company Camaieu in 2012. Because of his background in the fashion business, he is well-suited to run Petit Bateau.
