Following the resignation of its chief operating officer (COO), Colin Browne, US sportswear company Under Armour is looking to fill the newly formed role of chief supply chain officer.
Since joining Under Armour in 2016, Browne is credited for modernising the company’s direct-to-consumer business strategy and supply chain organisation, which has increased operating effectiveness and margins significantly. In addition, Browne served as acting CEO from June 2022 to February 2023. According to Under Armour, Browne will leave his position to pursue other opportunities.
“I would like to thank Colin for his leadership at Under Armour and his partnership in helping lay out the foundations of PTH3,” said Stephanie Linnartz, CEO of Under Armour.
A number of other executive moves were also made public by Under Armour as part of its Protect This House 3 (PTH3) policy.
PTH3, which was unveiled in May, is a new set of objectives intended to foster longer-term profitable growth and returns for shareholders. PTH3 focuses on generating more worldwide brand buzz and delivering premium products and designs to revive US economic growth while preserving strong global momentum.
Jim Dausch has been promoted to executive vice president and chief consumer officer, effective 24th July, while Danny Miles has been appointed executive vice president and chief technology officer. Lisa Collier, the company’s chief product officer, will depart in August to pursue other possibilities. Dan Leraris, who oversees Under Armour’s apparel division, will start acting as the organisation’s temporary CPO as of 3rd July.
