
In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the Lulu Group, a global retailer, has inaugurated its first Lulu Hypermarket. The huge store is situated in Coimbatore and offers goods in the fashion and beauty areas.
“We are committed to providing Coimbatore residents with a world-class shopping experience,” wrote Lulu Group on Linkedin. “Our hypermarket offers a wide range of products and services, including hot and cold ready-to-eat food, and a live kitchen, fresh produce, grocery, electronics, beauty products, home appliances, and more.”
TRB Rajaa, the Government of Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Industries, Investments, and Commerce, and representatives of the Lulu Group opened the hypermarket. The company signed a memorandum of intent to invest Rs. 3,000 crore in Tamil Nadu, and the hypermarket is its first significant investment there.
According to Lulu Group, the store is Tamil Nadu’s biggest hypermarket. Nearly 1.1 lakh square feet is the approximate size of the store, and Lulu Group anticipates that the project will provide more than 5,000 direct and indirect job possibilities.
MA Yusuff Ali, an entrepreneur from Kerala, is the head of the Lulu Group, which has its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The company began operations in 2000 and now operates more than 250 hypermarkets in addition to its other retail ideas.
