The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has undertaken an initiative to create a digital ESG (environment, social and governance) database.
Reports claimed this adding the move is aimed at helping to achieve the 20 sustainable strategic goals by 2030.
Speaking at a recent webinar, the BGMEA President maintained that an industry-wide initiative to create an ESG digital cloud-based data disclosure platform has been taken through which all BGMEA members will disclose their data on the platform even as Asked, Chairman of BGMEA standing committee on sustainability, Sheikh H M Mustafiz, on his part, reportedly said each of the BGMEA members would provide information that would help understand their current status related to the 20 goals.
