
Underlining that her Government is with the entrepreneurs for the development of the export-oriented sectors, Begum Monnujan Sufian, who is the State Minister for Labour and Employment, said compliance is must for the leather sector’s development.
Participating at a dialogue on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the workers of the tanneries in Bangladesh, the industry State Minister for Labour and Employment said to ensure development of the leather sector, factories have to be compliant.
We have to take the industry forward by producing quality goods, reportedly, maintained Begum Monnujan Sufian at the dialogue organised on 23 January by the Asia Foundation while calling to ensure the rights of the workers as per the Labour Law of Bangladesh.
It may be mentioned here that the leather industry in Bangladesh is, reportedly, going through some tough times owing to the COVID-19 fallouts.
