Lakme Fashion Week is the most prominent fashion event for Indian designers to showcase their collections while also acting as a platform for young designers to display their talents and meet people from the industry.
The event recently announced the return of their GenNext platform which allows emerging crop of designers to be a part of the global event.
Apart from their GenNext programme, they also announced the return of Emerging Designer, Established Designer and Accessory Designer platforms which will highlight designers in their respective categories.
Lakme Fashion Week has long been supporting young designers through the platform with notable designers like Masaba Gupta, Ruchika Sachdeva and Aneeth Arora, all being a part of the programme in their early days.
Last season, Mannat Sethi and Harshana Kandhari from GRAINE, Chandrima Agnihotri from Chandrima, Akhil Nagpal from AKHL and Ananya Modi Jain from All2Defy were invited for their GenNext platform and allowed to showcase their collections during the fashion week.
Lakme Fashion Week revealed the announcement on a Facebook post which read, “A callout to all fashion designers! It is time for us all to return to form.”
