American Eagle will debut its AE x Snapchat AR Jeans Guide as part of its Spring 2021 Jeans Are Forever campaign.
The ‘Jeans Are Forever’ campaign of American Eagle is headlined by Chase Stokes and Madison Bailey.
The AR Jeans Guide in the new campaign allows users to view jeans in Augmented Reality (AR), according to American Eagle. Because of the guide’s multi-URL 3D shoppable jeans lenses, the users are able to view different types of 3D American Eagle jeans in AR by using the back camera.
The AR-enabled feature includes a range of fashion denim for both men and women. When the wearers virtually turn a pair of jeans, they can see specific fits, washes, unique details and styling advice, as well as click to buy.
It’s worth mentioning here that American Eagle has collaborated with Snapchat during COVID-19 to gain strong grounds amongst the consumers.
As American Eagle has already planned to shut down of 225 stores by 2023 to see profitable growth, the rollout of a shoppable lens through Snapchat comes as fashion retail has begun to embrace social commerce.
