
Kreativ ’13, an annual fashion and art festival organized by Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT), Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and Amity School of Performing Arts (ASPA), provided an exclusive platform to the students for displaying their talent in fashion to industry veterans, media and academic community.
Kick started by a fashion show, put together by the graduating batch of B.Sc. (Fashion Design), the festival hosted an array of events. Razmatazz, an Inter college fashion show & choreography competition had more than 15 reputed institutes participating such as IMS-DIA (Design & Innovation Academy), Satyam Fashion Institute, FMG Group of Institutions, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, Bharatiya Vidya Peeth College of Engineering and Footwear Design & Development Institute.
The competitions were followed by a Fashion, Apparel & Retail Conference, with the theme of “Building competitive strategies for fashion & apparel industry.” Anant Sadana, CEO, Apparel United and Arindam Saha, Associate Director, Wazir Consultant spoke on “India: An Emerging Sourcing Hub”.
Sharing their views on the strategies to be followed by Indian manufacturers in competitive times, were Rajeev Bansal, MD, Celestial Knits & Fabs and Devender Gupta, Board Member, Asmara International.
Carried forward with a talk show by Eminent Fashion Designer Gaurav Gupta, who talked to students about his design inspiration and philosophy, the event was culminated with the inauguration of an Art Exhibition showcasing the work by students of Amity School of Fine Arts.
