
UK-based fashion retailer House of Fraser has announced the appointment of Alex Williamson as the new Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect from 31st July. He will be in-charge of leading company’s turnaround.
Alex previously served the role of CEO at Goodwood. Prior to joining sporting estate Goodwood, he also served at TUI Travel and accounting firm Ernst & Young as well.
Commenting upon the appointment, Frank Slevin, Chairman, House of Fraser said, “Alex is uniquely placed to execute our vision, and to contribute his extensive expertise of delivering compelling and engaging experiences for the customer.”

It may be mentioned here that the retailer has been looking for a Chief Executive since Nigel Oddy resigned last year. Also, it is trying to keep up with a rapidly changing retail environment, and has started including more leisure options in its stores, such as champagne bars.
